The Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova (DEI) was established in 1985, following the tradition of Electrical Engineering dating back to 1903. With about 100 faculty,  40 staff, and 130+ PhDs and post-docs,  DEI represents one of the largest National research centers in Bioengineering, Control, Computer Science, Electronics, Laser and Quantum Physics, and Telecommunications.
